CODE OF CONDUCT
General Code of Conduct covers:
- Any person playing, watching or working at Heidelberg FC events
- Any person playing, watching or working at any NFL sanctioned events
- Any person wearing Heidelberg FC garments or Heidelberg FC uniform while in public
- Persons attending any event on behalf of the Heidelberg FC
- When speaking publicly on behalf of the Heidelberg FC on any topic
- When attending private functions booked at the Heidelberg FC premises
General Code of Behaviour
As listed above, those covered by this Code must:
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others.
- Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealing with others.
- Be professional in, and accept responsibility for, your actions.
- Make a commitment to providing quality service.
- Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising adhesion to, rules, regulations, policies, requests and direction of Heidelberg FC.
- Obey the Liquor Licence rules, hours of operation as they apply to the Heidelberg FC which includes the responsible serving of alcohol guidelines
- Demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility.
- Behave politely, respectfully and honestly in all situations - Football, Social, formal.
- Refrain from any form of harassment or unwanted attention to others.
- Refrain from any behaviour that may bring the Heidelberg FC into disrepute.
- Provide a safe environment for the pursuit of enjoyable football and all associated activities.
- Be a positive role model at all times.
- Understand the repercussions if you breach, or are aware of any breaches of, this code of behaviour.
Enforcement of Code of Conduct
The Heidelberg FC will convene a review committee when required to investigate and rule on any breach of this Code. The committee will be made up of Executive office bearers, invited members of Heidelberg Cricket / Junior Football Clubs or senior Life Members. This committee will conduct their investigations as they see fit and remain impartial and separated from the normal management of the Heidelberg FC
Disciplinary regime
Disciplinary actions may include, but not be limited to:
- No discipline required
- Acceptance of formal apology
- Verbal warning
- Written and verbal warning
- Suspension from the Heidelberg FC (term based on severity of offence)
- Expulsion from the Heidelberg FC
- Recommendation of corrective education programs
NOTE: Any person(s) suspended for any term may be required to produce a formal presentation as to why they should be reinstated as a fully accepted member, player, committee person or supporter of the Heidelberg Football Club.
